The RSGB is a membership organisation and represents Britain’s radio amateurs in both the UK and internationally. The Society’s offices are in Bedford but flexible and hybrid working is available for this role.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Managing Editor will manage RadCom, the Society’s journal, which is one of the most respected amateur radio publications in the world. You will work with a Technical Editor to provide consistent high-quality technical content.
The role also includes overseeing the publication of RadCom Basics and RadCom Plus with their editors, as well as being part of the team that puts together GB2RS, the Society’s weekly online and radio broadcast news.
You will need to show demonstrable experience of producing professional and technical publications in both print and digital formats, have a strong command of the English language, superb attention to detail and be able to work with a range of publishing tools.
