We have a fantastic opportunity for a Subscriptions Marketing Co-ordinator with this leading scientific publisher in Cambridge. Our client is the major publisher for biological sciences through their journals and digital content. In this position you will liaise closely with the sales & marketing teams to deliver effective multi-channel campaigns through worldwide institutional libraries.

As the key point of contact between the sales & marketing teams, you will provide input to marketing meetings; liaise with external designers and work with sales colleagues to ensure that agents and intermediaries are equipped with the latest marketing materials.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create, develop and continuously review, with guidance, both short term and longer-term marketing strategies
  • Understand the global market and competitors’ strategies
  • Prepare email campaigns targeted at subscribers, authors and prospects
  • Initiate email campaigns using Mailchimp or CRM system
  • Prepare quarterly reports on website traffic and trends using Google Analytics
  • Research, prioritise and book attendance at conferences and events worldwide
  • Set up and manage conference stands (virtual and physical) nationally and internationally
  • Draft and send out press releases by email
  • Monitor library listservs, publisher newsletters and other information sources and alert colleagues to interesting news and initiatives

 

Candidates must have excellent copy writing and proof-reading skills in addition to strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience. Experience of database marketing and an understanding of Google Analytics will be an advantage.

This is a fulltime position although part time will be considered.
