Marketing Manager / Senior Marketing Manager - Trade Books
We have a fabulous new role for an experienced marketing professional to work for a well-known trade publisher across their fiction and non-fiction lists. This is an ideal role for an ambitious marketer with proven marketing experience within publishing, looking to take their next step into management. This is a hugely varied role where you will take responsibility for driving effective marketing campaigns, promoting a wide range of commercial fiction and non-fiction, from high potential debuts to established market-leading brands. Reporting to the Communications Director you will be responsible for bringing new creative agencies and designers into the business and be the lead in the day-to-day relationship with those agencies. You will be responsible for overseeing a high quality of design and messaging across all communications, including presentations, pitches, advertising creative etc. You will also present marketing campaigns to a variety of audiences e.g. editorial, Authors, Agents and Sales.
This is a highly responsible marketing role and the ideal person will have significant proven marketing experience from the publishing industry, running campaigns, using both digital and traditional methods. You will have the ability to write and brief effective creative copy particularly writing fluently and passionately about books. You will ideally have some experience of managing budgets, have a solid knowledge of the book market and possess a strong design sensibility.
