Lean Project Manager - FTC

Are you a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt qualified Project Manager looking for a a highly varied and rewarding role where you can make a difference? We are working with a global academic publisher, who are looking to recruit an experienced Lean Project Manager for a maternity cover of up to 12 months. As a Lean Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects that deliver measurable business outcomes such as efficiency and direct cost savings, increased quality and customer value through the successful conception, development and deployment of improved, re-engineered or new processes, or process support for new products and services, internal or external systems and policies. This role can be worked on a remote basis.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the business on the initial scope of projects and identify the expected outcomes of proposed improvement opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with project sponsors and other key stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly understood
  • Manage and deliver effective process improvement projects, working with colleagues across the business
  • Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring tasks are allocated and completed, driving projects quickly and thoroughly through Lean Sigma project methodologies

The ideal candidate will be Lean Six Sigma Belt qualified (although training can be provided). You will have proven experience of delivering projects, including appropriate use of technology and able to demonstrate knowledge of data analysis. You should have knowledge or relevant tools and methodologies along with experience of creating process documentation and version control standards. An understanding of the publishing process would be desirable but not essential.
