We have a lovely opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious journals publishing professional to join the Journals Medicine & Life Science team of this highly successful global scientific publishing organisation. Based in London, this global team work on research journals across some very well-known and successful brands and the Journal Development Editors are responsible for managing a list of peer-reviewed research journals within medicine and life sciences, growing the portfolio through strategic journal development and acquisitions. As the primary publishing contact for your journals, you will build relationships with key external stakeholders, including editors, editorial board members, reviewers, authors and society partners, as well as colleagues across the business.
This is a great opportunity for someone with journals experience, looking to develop their skills and take on more responsibility within a journal publishing environment and the successful person will ideally have some previous experience of working in a journal publishing role, with an interest and understanding of publishing business models and knowledge of the publishing processes. You will have exceptional organisation and influencing skills, along with the proven ability to meet deadlines and adapt to change. Strong attention to detail is essential in this role, as are strong computer literacy skills and the determination to succeed.
Our client is offering a hybrid working model of 2-3 days per week working from home once they return to their office plus an attractive salary and great company benefits.
