Commercial Sales Executive

We have a fabulous opportunity with a well-known and highly successful multi-platform media company that offers lifestyle, music and sports content across a wide range of premium media platforms, including TV, mobile, online and print. They are now looking to recruit a sales focused, motivated individual to work as part of the UK Commercial Team to deliver advertising revenue for their monthly active lifestyle magazine.
This role will be responsible for identifying commercial opportunities for their well-known monthly magazine, primarily within media agencies and certain client-direct categories. Planning, coordination and reporting of sales activities, leading negotiations with existing and key clients will also be part of your responsibilities. As an agency focused role, this is a fantastic opportunity for the successful person to become the face of the magazine within the agency world.
As part of the wider commercial team you will work with partnership managers and will be expected to think innovatively about how to upsell display advertisers into larger longer term partners.
A strong sales background and extensive client/agency contact base is essential for the role, in particular working relationships with buying, planning and creative agencies.
The successful person will be sales focused, with proven, demonstrable experience in print and digital sales. You will have strong industry and agency connections and an understanding of the print and digital media market mechanics, in top media markets. You will have proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, on time and to schedule.
